Aftercare instructions

The aftercare for a tattoo takes around 10 days, but it takes 6 weeks for your skin to fully heal.
Your tattoo and skin will heal best if you follow these instructions:

• Personal hygiene is a must in the healing process of your tattoo.
Always wash your hands before treating your tattoo and touch the tattoo as less as possible.

• Remove the foil with which you leave the tattooshop after about 2 to 3 hours.

• Wash the tattoo twice a day with lukewarm water and possibly mild unscented soap.

• After washing, pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or tissue.

• Lubricate the tattoo with 100% petroleum, also known as Vaseline. This is available at any drugstore.

• Avoid contact with clothing and bedding for the first 3 days by covering the tattoo with foil.

• A tattoo can itch while healing, but you should absolutely not scratch it!

• Do not expose the tattoo to the sun for the first 3 weeks and avoid swimming pools, tanning beds and saunas.

• Exercise is allowed, but do not strain the muscles under the tattooed skin until 3 days after tattooing.

• In case of extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, wound fluid,
color change or chronic pain, contact your doctor.
