Aftercare instructions<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The aftercare for a tattoo takes around 10 days, but it takes 6 weeks for your skin to fully heal.
Your tattoo and skin will heal best if you follow these instructions:

\u2022 Personal hygiene is a must in the healing process of your tattoo.
Always wash your hands before treating your tattoo and touch the tattoo as less as possible.

\u2022 Remove the foil with which you leave the tattooshop after about 2 to 3 hours.

\u2022 Wash the tattoo twice a day with lukewarm water and possibly mild unscented soap.

\u2022 After washing, pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or tissue.

\u2022 Lubricate the tattoo with 100% petroleum, also known as Vaseline. This is available at any drugstore.

\u2022 Avoid contact with clothing and bedding for the first 3 days by covering the tattoo with foil.

\u2022 A tattoo can itch while healing, but you should absolutely not scratch it!

\u2022 Do not expose the tattoo to the sun for the first 3 weeks and avoid swimming pools, tanning beds and saunas.

\u2022 Exercise is allowed, but do not strain the muscles under the tattooed skin until 3 days after tattooing.

\u2022 In case of extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, wound fluid,
color change or chronic pain, contact your doctor.
